Volunteering with the Wimberley Players
The Wimberley Players is your community theater! We could not exist without the many dedicated volunteers of all ages and skill levels who contribute their time and talent. We have opportunities for new volunteers to become involved and would welcome the opportunity to explore them with you.
Check out these reasons to get involved:
Never been behind the scenes of the theater? Don’t know where “upstage” is? Wonder how a spotlight works? Theater management, stage carpentry, scene decoration, costuming, hospitality, and many other opportunities are available. If you have a desire to learn, we will teach you.
- Share Your Skills and Ideas!
Sewing needles, hammers, paintbrushes, brains, scissors, saws, muscles, imaginations…..whatever you like to do, we have a place for you.
Meet people of all ages and experiences willing to share what they do. A great way to become involved in the community.
- Feel the Thrill of Accomplishment!
When you hear the laughter and applause of the audience, you will know you helped bring the show to life.
The Players is a non-profit theater that depends on thousands of volunteer hours from people just like you.

| Artistic Team
Actors, musicians, singers, dancers, choreographers, directors and producers and are needed for each production. If you are experienced or inexperienced, but curious about how you may contribute, take a tour of the theater and learn about the opportunities to get involved.

| Back Stage & Production Crew
Our stage crews are all volunteers. We need seasoned professionals down to not-so-skilled amateurs willing to learn. Before the show opens, help build or paint the set. Locate, create, or organize props. Sew or alter costumes. On performance nights, work behind the scene in the booth or backstage.
For Back Stage, contact Adam Witko |

| Public Relations & Marketing
Our publications include a newsletter, web site, show playbills, posters, news articles and advertising. If you are a writer, editor, or graphic artist, you can contribute. If you like to work at home, we have archives to be maintained. If you like to run around a little, we have posters to distribute. Or maybe you would like to join our ad sales team. There is often a mailing that need to be stuffed and stamped.
For Public Relations and Marketing, contact Julie Ray |

As you can see, there are many ways to get started. And you are the one who decides how much you want to do. Time you have available to offer will be gratefully accepted. There are plenty of opportunities that do not require experience and plenty that will give you new experiences. All you need is the desire to become involved with our community theater. Volunteers are the ones that make it happen!
Some Ways to get started
- Contact any of the people listed above for more information about the areas
- Try out different areas if you are not sure of your talent or interest
- Contact us and set up a time to visit a rehearsal to grasp the production process, meet the director, producer and actors.
