The Wimberley Players held our third Discovery Workshop last month with the theme "Discover Your Inner Superhero" to engage our young audience.
The workshop - led by Monica Michell and Laura Haygood - encouraged students to get outside of their comfort zone and explore what a hero - or an anti-hero - really is. Students learned about the theatrical process through games and improv and at the end of the day their families and friends came back to watch the culmination of their work. The Players want to engage people of every age. We believe theatre teaches important skills and are thrilled when our students grow and learn throughout the day.
