Position: The Wimberley Players Treasurer.
Part-Time Volunteer Position
The Wimberley Players, a small 501(c)(3) nonprofit community theatre serving the Central Texas area, is looking for an accounting professional to volunteer as Treasurer and member of the Board of Directors.
The ideal candidate:

Is passionate about nonprofits, theatre, and the arts.

Well qualified in basic accounting procedures and can work independently.

Is a reliable, friendly, and enthusiastic team player.

Demonstrates excellent organization and communication skills.
Preferred Skills & Experience:

Accounting

QuickBooks Online
-
Tax Payments to State and IRS
-
Annual 1099 distributions
-
W-9 form invitations
Primary Responsibilities:
-
Reconcile Operating/Dedicated Funds/Office/PayPal accounts.

Review monthly Financial/Activity/Actual statements for anomalies.

Pay monthly Payroll taxes.
-
Pay quarterly Sales Tax.
-
Attend and provide reports for monthly Board meetings.

Work with committee chairs to create yearly budgets, and annual corporate budget.

Assist Administrative Manager with check posting/debit transactions/deposits, approval of invoices to be paid, and the set-up and payment of stipends.

Support Grants Committee providing financial information needed to support requests.
Note: daily bookkeeping, payments under $1000, grants support, and financial archiving are primarily performed by our staff Administrative Manager and Technical Director.
