Coy Branscum is a graduate of Millikin University, where he graduated in 2015 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre. Since the completion of his degree, he’s served as an actor for theatre companies around the United States, finding especially wonderful homes with Grandstreet Theatre (Helena, Montana) where he performed in productions of PIPPIN (Leading Player), Oklahoma! (Ali Hakim) and Mary Poppins; and Cape Rep Theatre (Brewster, Massachusetts) in their production of La Cage aux Folles, where he served as Dance Captain. Along with regional theatre, Coy has served as a Specialty Vocalist and Vocal Captain for Celebrity Cruises, where he trained in basic aerial work and traveled the Caribbean, Mediterranean and Baltic on their stunning ships the Constellation and the Silhouette. In 2017, he had the privilege to return to his alma mater, Dripping Springs High School (2011) to serve as one of the theatre arts directors along side his former teacher, Rachael Koske. He worked as co-director/co-choreographer/co-music director on their production of The Addams Family, a new musical, which was nominated for 12 awards at the Greater Austin High School Musical Theatre Awards (GAHSMTA) and ultimately won six, including Best Production and Best Direction; and returned in 2018 to choreograph their production of Little Shop of Horrors.

In the Summer of 2019 Coy served as an Associate Producer for Summer Stock Austin and choreographed their production of Sister Act, earning him a B. Iden Payne nomination for Best Choreography.
